We often get asked this question: “what do I get, for the $40 I give the RHA for my membership dues?”
Good question, and for each person, the answer is different. As #OurRossmoor‘s Community Engagement Coordinator, here’s what I get – it’s not what I get, but rather it is what this community gives me.
The RHA doesn’t claim to be “the magic” – our non-profit community provides a place where our residents can share their own magic – with a value that says “when we come together, something really, really, special happens.”
And it does. And we are uniquely special- no doubt. The RHA helps me celebrate this every…single….day.
For over 65 years, the RHA has been reminding our community members and the communities around us, that Rossmoor values are about much more than the sales prices of our homes.
When I hear someone say, “ I specifically looked for a home in Rossmoor, and we chose to be here” I smile.
My pride is not only about my house or schools, it’s about my neighbors and all the many, many people who invest their lives here – into giving the best we can give – FOR (and WITH) EACH OTHER.
It’s a purpose that the RHA’s Board of Directors, embrace and they never lose sight of BEING ROSSMOOR, as we become even MORE.
Community collaboration. We don’t strive to be better. It just happens, as we continually come together.
That is what $40 a year brings me, and why I can never do enough to give back. Belongingness is something money can’t buy.
But $40 makes us smile, knowing that we belong together, and our connection to Rossmoor is worth everything.
It’s an affirmation that we are ONE COMMUNITY. And that’s priceless. — If you are a member and agree, please share.
If you are on the fence, or haven’t plugged in, please join. And then share. It’s how we all connect.
