It’s Shakespeare Time!
This upcoming weekend Shakespeare by the Sea (SBTS) is coming back to Rossmoor!!
Saturday June 28th and Sunday June 29th the RCSD will play host at Rush Park to two great Shakespearian plays.
Julius Caesar (6/28) and As You Like ITÂ (6/29).Â
Both performances start at 7:00 p.m. and there is no cost to attend these live performances with professional actors.
SBTS was founded (and patterned after) Shakespeare in the Park, in NYC, as a way to bring the Arts to everyone, regardless of income.
It is free to us, because of generous sponsors and patrons who supplement their efforts.
Both the RHA and the Rossmoor CSD have contributed to SBTS to help cover the costs of these performances this year.Â
We encourage you to support SBTS as well to keep this philanthropic effort alive.

Historically, a Rossmoor resident and patron funded the plays in Rossmoor by funding a grant through the OC Arts Council for the first 5-years (starting in 2009) of Rossmoor performances. After that generous grant ran out, our Rossmoor CSD agreed to contribute a few thousand dollars each year to help offset the now more than $12,000 in production costs for the two plays. (Remember state law now requires the actors and roadies get paid at least minimum wage increasing costs for the nonprofit.)
