For the week of October 7-13, 2018, OC Sheriffs responded to 50 calls, a 23% weekly decrease by 15 incidents. During the week, incident decreases occurred in traffic stops (-10), patrol checks (-6), suspicious persons/vehicles/circumstances (-4), fraud reports (-1), prowlers (-1), pedestrian checks (-1), and vandalism (-1). Increases occurred in disturbances (+3), illegally parked vehicles (+3), property for destruction (+2), abandoned vehicles (+1), and shots heard-no suspect information (+1). Citizen assistance was provided for 2 of this week’s incidents. Residents reporting incidents and OCSD officers responding to calls helped deter neighborhood criminal activity.
