Season of Lights Celebration – Kick Off! Heritage Hill Walk

Heritage Hill Walk With SantaOurRossmoor begins our Season of Lights Celebration early, by showcasing and sharing our favorite OC traditions and events, Giving everyone plenty of time to calendar and plan special festivities that are sure to brighten up everyone’s holidays.
The 37th Heritage Hill Annual Candlelight Walk will take place over three festive evenings December 8, 9 and 10 from 5 to 9 p.m. Enjoy an evening stroll through the decorated grounds as well as live musical performances, holiday crafts for kids and a visit with Santa Claus. Even pets are welcome (on leashes no longer than 6 feet.)
The OC Heritage Hill Historical Park‘s 4.1 acres includes four fully restored and furnished historic buildings that span the early history of the Saddleback Valley and El Toro area from the Mexican Rancho era (Serrano Adobe, circa 1863), to the founding of the town of El Toro (El Toro Grammar School, 1890; St. George’s Episcopal Mission, 1891), through the citrus farming days of the early twentieth century (Harvey Bennett Ranch House, 1908).
Event and parking are free and the holiday lights event provides a fun and affordable way to spend family time engaging in the fascinating history of our area. OC Parks has a lot of these hidden (or not-so-hidden) gems.
Oh, and while you make some memories this year, check in on (and invite) some neighbors to join you – especially those who might not get out much, during the year.
