Rossmoor remains a safe and peaceful neighborhood through the combined efforts of Rossmoor residents, the Rossmoor Homeowners Association, the Rossmoor Community Services District, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, and the California Highway Patrol. The best way to keep our neighborhood a safe and secure place to come home to and raise our families is for each of us to get involved. The simplest way to do this is to participate in Rossmoor’s Neighborhood Watch Program.
Join the program and find out who your Neighborhood Watch Block Captain is. Let your block captain know who you are and that you are willing to watch out for suspicious activity and will call the Sheriff’s Department if you see anything unusual.
Our Neighborhood Watch program pages include details on the program, recent weekly and quarterly crime reports from the OC Sheriff’s Department, how to become a Block Member or Block Captain, how to use the online Sheriff’s Blotter to get your own crime reports for the time period you are most interested in seeing, and security tips to keep you, your family, neighbors and community safe.
Emergency Preparedness pages include great information on earthquake preparation, how to protect you and your family in an emergency or disaster situation, links to numerous local and state resources to educate yourself and learn best practices along with when our EmPrep Team meets. Come take a look and see what you can learn.
Our Pet Management pages tell you how you can help your neighbors find their pets and or be part of the team that puts up (and takes down) flyers to alert the area of the missing pet. If you’ve ever lost a family pet, you know how helpful this can be.
The Coyotes in Rossmoor page discusses the dangers imposed by these wild mammals and what you can and cannot do to reduce your risks from them. Really interesting and good to know laws in the state when it comes to animals in the wild.
Our Community Standards page has some of the County’s standards that have been applied to Rossmoor and links to more information.
