If you’ve ever worried about cars speeding down our streets or had a close call with an ebike, you’re not alone—and now there’s a real opportunity to do something about it.
On Saturday, July 12th from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Rossmoor Family Festival, in Rush Park, Orange County Public Works (OCPW) will have important information on the County’s new Local Road Safety Program—a countywide effort focused on making local roads safer for everyone, including here in Rossmoor.
This is the first-ever comprehensive safety plan for our unincorporated communities, and it’s being built with local input at the center. That’s where you come in.
OCPW is looking for feedback from residents—people who walk, bike, drive, and live on these streets every day. They want to hear what you have to say: where the danger zones are, what improvements would help, and what’s been on your mind.
This is the start of a long-term plan that will guide how safety grants are obtained and how those dollars are spent—on crosswalks, signage, traffic calming, and more. Your input can directly shape what gets prioritized and funded in our neighborhood.
So stop by, bring your perspective, and be part of the solution. Just show up, stay informed, and help make Rossmoor’s streets safer for all of us.
And TAKE THE COUNTY SURVEY to provide your input!
