Meet Your Candidates Night

Here’s your chance to Meet Your Candidates!

The Rossmoor Homeowners Association is proud to have hosted the Meet Your Candidates Night at Rush Park. The event was held on Thursday, October 6th and was well attended.

We invited all the candidates for the local races including:

• 47^th Congressional District: Alan Lowenthal & Andy Whallon
• U.S. Senate: Kamala Harris & Loretta Sanchez
• 72nd Assembly District: Travis Allen & Lenore Albert-Sheridan
• Los Alamitos Unified School District  Board of Education ( 5 candidates/3 seats):
  Robert  J. Aguilar, Jr, David Boyar,  Megan Cutuli,  Cathy Larson & Karen Russell
• Rossmoor Community Services District (5 candidates/3 seats):
  Ron Casey, Tony DeMarco, Paul Kalish, Mike Maynard & Shaz Umer

Andy Whallon spoke and answered questions from the audience while  our current congressional representative did not attend.

Neither candidate for US Senate attended.

Both current 72nd Assembly representative Travis Allen and his challenger Lenore Albert-Sheridan attended, presented their platforms and took questions from the audience.

All five Los Alamitos School Board candidates attended, presented their accomplishments and reasons we should vote for them.

For our Rossmoor Community Services District election, Ron Casey, Tony DeMarco and Shaz Umer attended and spoke. Mike Maynard was out of town on business and could not attend, he did however provide a statement that was read to the audience.
