Rossmoor was developed between 1955 and 1962 by Ross Cortese. Residents began moving into their homes in 1957. Since those humble beginnings, Rossmoor has grown to a population of over 10,000 in 3,430 single family homes, 1 apartment complex (Rossmoor Manor at Wallingsford and Hedwig), and 1 town house complex (Rossmoor Town Houses at Bradbury and Montecito).
The history of Rossmoor runs deep within the red brick Signature Wall that distinguishes unincorporated Rossmoor from its city neighbors of Seal Beach and Los Alamitos.

Rossmoor Original Floor Plans
There were 11 base home model floor plans while Rossmoor was being built. Most of these floor plans had planned variations. And then there were customizations made by some of the original owners. We will go into more details and add some photos of the model homes themselves as we can collect them.
