Our OC Public Library website has a tremendous amount of OC history — much that gets lost, as time marches on.

Many older OC residents remember the time period during the fall of Saigon, yet of course, we didn’t experience it thru the eyes of our most affected residents.
Thank you Supervisor Do, for your commitment to #OurRossmoor, our entire First District community, and especially for your work in helping Little Saigon and other cultural influences mainstream into the rich, vibrant community we enjoy .
OC has a rich history, as home to one of the largest Vietnamese communities in the nation. Sharing the Tet Festivities, both at the parade in Westminster and the celebrations at Mile Square Park last weekend was incredible.
We know that many also attended celebrations in Garden Grove, too – thank you for the hard work that goes into planning and producing such fine events. What a rich tapestry of residents and cultures – we are blessed!
In this video, Supervisor Andrew Do discusses the early development of Little Saigon and Orange County. And reflects on the growth of the community and local business.
Here’s a link to the OCPL’s Little Saigon library series, with additional interviews. Check it out.
