For the week of November 18-24, 2018, OC Sheriffs responded to a total of 50 incidents, a 17% weekly decrease by 10 calls. This week’s incident increases and decreases are as follows: 9-1-1 Hangup (-1), Abandoned Vehicle (-4), Annoying Phone Call (-1), Assist Outside Agency (+3), Burglary Alarms – Audible (+3), Burglary Report (+2), Citizen Assist (+1), Disturbance (+4), Follow-up Report (-1), Fraud Report (-1), Illegally Parked Vehicle (-7), Keep The Peace (-1), Patrol Check (-6), Petty Theft (+1), Shots Heard-No Suspect Information (-1), Suspicious Person/Vehicle/ Circumstances (-1), and Welfare Check (+1).
For 31 or 62% of this week’s reported incidents, OCSD officers conducted 9 patrol checks and responded to 7 traffic stops (with 5 stops between the hours of 9 PM to midnight), 7 suspicious persons/circumstances/vehicles, and 8 burglary alarms. Citizen assistance was provided for 3 incidents. Residents reporting incidents and OCSD officers responding to calls helped deter neighborhood criminal activity.
