  • Kensington and Chesney (stop for Chesney travelers)
  • Wembley and Shakespeare at Lee School finally got the 4-way stop that has been needed there for decades

  • Wembley and Piedmont (stop for Wembley travelers)
  • Silver Fox and St. Albans stop for St. Albans travelers)
  • Gertrude and Kensington at Hopkinson School also received a long over due 4-way stop.

These streets are heavily used during the morning drop off rush each school day. by both vehicles and pedestrians.

Please continue to drive safely and use caution on the streets of Rossmoor.

It’s good for everyone.

  1. Problem is now it’s a stop free ride straight through to Shakespeare from Wallingford on quail run and Kensington. I see speeds of up to 40mph. It was a problem before but I feel it will get worse. Stop sign should of been on Kensington not Chesney!

    1. Thanks for the observation Andrew.

You make a good point. And, as you point out, it’s always been an issue as speeds continue to increase and distractions are more plentiful than ever.

You might reach out to OC Public Works and share your observations with them.

They put in a 4 way stop at Shakespeare and Wembley (which has the same free run from Wallingsford to Shakespeare that Kensington has) – why not a 4 way at Kensington and Chesney?

I’m guessing that we will see additional adjustments to the signs. And at some point, we will become like Long Beach with a stop sign at every corner in the tract.
