Moves To Make Before Age 65….

Getting insured is straightforward when working for a large company, where the HR department handles all the insurance questions and needs.

However, for small business owners, the unemployed, the under-employed, or those transitioning into Medicare after turning 65, the options can be overwhelming.

With open enrollment periods approaching towards the end of the year, now is the time to start understanding the complexities of insurance.

Community Conversation With Kathy Jeang

This isn’t about choosing a provider yet. Our Rossmoor’s August Community Conversation focuses on the basics: What do you need to know before asking questions, and where should you start when tailoring an insurance policy to your needs? Kathy Jeang from Brighter Financial Future will join us to kick off the discussion.

Where should you begin?

Is the policy just for you or for your family too? What are the real costs, including deductibles and limits? What are the exclusions and additional benefits? What coverage do you truly need?

Additionally, consumer protection laws are in place to prevent fraud and misinformation, which can limit how insurance offerings are presented by independent agents and Medicare/government representatives.

While these protections are necessary, they can restrict how information is shared by knowledgeable agents. This event is not a sales pitch, but an opportunity to ask questions in a relaxed group setting, without any pressure or expectations.

Let’s explore this together!

Join Our Rossmoor’s August Community Conversation on Thursday, August 22nd at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, starting at 7:00 p.m.

There’s no charge and no pressure—just us, talking and sharing. That’s what a Community Conversation should be, right?
