The Orange County Mosquito & Vector Control District (OCMVCD) will be conducting an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) adulticide treatment to address mosquito abundance and the risk of mosquito-borne disease in the City of Los Alamitos and Rossmoor.

The applications will occur within an area surrounding the cross streets of Katella Ave. and Los Alamitos Blvd. (see map below).

Treatments are scheduled for:

When: Wednesday – Friday | September 2nd – 4th

Time: Midnight to 5:30 a.m.

Treatment: Truck treatment with AquaDuet

If numbers persist or disease is present, treatments may continue throughout the biting season.

At the application rate this product will not harm:

  • People or pets, even if present during the application,
  • Fruit trees, vegetable gardens, or fishponds,
  • Bees, as the product is applied at a time when bees are not active.

And, there is no need to turn off air conditioning systems during the application.

The OCMVCD website has a interactive map treatment information and updates on the application
