On Wednesday, April 29th from 4 p.m. until closing, Islands in Seal Beach will be donating 20% of sales to the Los Al Rocketeers when you show them this flyer.
The Los Alamitos High School Model Rocketry Club (Los Al Rocketeers) has quickly established itself as one of the nation’s top emerging programs, earning a place among the top 100 teams out of 1,107 nationwide in the American Rocketry Challenge.
In their very first year, the student-led team refined their rocket through months of testing and iteration, achieving a qualifying score strong enough to secure an invitation to the National Finals on May 16 in The Plains, Virginia. There, they will compete in a precision fly-off against the best teams in the country, aiming for a top finish and a potential spot on the international stage.
As a fully student-run program, the team is currently working to fund travel and lodging for the competition.Â
