Los Alamitos City Councilmember Tanya Doby who serves on the Orange County Public Library Advisory Board, was kind enough to provided us with an update on the Los Alamitos-Rossmoor enhancement project.
You can read the full note here, but the bottom line is that due to unforeseen issues that needed to be fixed, the county is aiming for a late summer or early fall (grand) reopening.
The library is a terrific resource for everyone in the Rossmoor/Los Alamitos area and we are glad that it’s on track to be completed later this year.

Would like more information on the “issues” complicating reopening.
Hi Paul.
I think we all would. Unfortunately, that is all we have been told.
First, spring, then summer, then fall and now we’re closing in on winter and still no updates. As someone that uses the library regularly, it would be nice to get periodic updates and maybe a reason why all the delays. Maybe even a solid reopening date as it’s been so long!
Hey Stacey – we agree!
It would be super nice if we had a good re-opening date.
We will keep you updated when we here something.
Monday, November 18th – library reopening
