Did you know that recycling a single ton of paper saves 17 trees, 7,000 gallons of water, and 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space?
Thanks to Rossmoor’s free quarterly shredding events, our community has already recycled an impressive 84,360 pounds of paper—saving 717 trees and preserving 139 cubic yards of landfill space!
These events do more than help clear clutter. They provide a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents while supporting environmental sustainability.
Recycling paper reduces waste, saves energy, and lowers greenhouse gas emissions, all while protecting our private information.
To everyone who has participated in the past, thank you for your commitment to making Rossmoor greener and more secure.
If you haven’t yet participated, it’s simple: just bring your documents, and the RHA Team and shredding professionals will handle the rest.
Let’s keep Rossmoor thriving—one shredded document at a time. Look out for the next shredding event, and together, we can save even more trees!
One more way Rossmoor supports Earth Day every year!

When is the next bulk item disposal event? What about a document shredding event?
Hi Norm and thanks for reaching out.
It looks like we just missed you on the shredding event. It was this morning 4/26 from 8:00 to noon at Lee School. Our next shredding event will be on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Lee School. We hold our free shredding events on the last Saturday of January, April, July & October each year. You can always find the latest shredding information here on our website.
As for the next CR&R Bulky item pick up for the neighborhood, the next one is scheduled for Saturday, June 7th at Rush Park from 9:00 a.m. to Noon.
Additionally, each Rossmoor resident gets two bulky item pickups from their home each year. These bulky item pickups are free and can include up to 4 items each. More details including how to schedule a pick up, you can refer to the CR&R page for Rossmoor and select the Bulky Items item on the right.
