The Los Alamitos Chamber of Commerce packed the Rush Park Auditorium for the 2021 Heroes Luncheon. The luncheon, to honor our Medical Frontline Workers, Members of the active, reserve, and retired Military Services, our Fire Department members, and of course the men and women serving in our terrific Police Departments and their critically important dispatch team (WestComm) also known as our 911 operators.
The Luncheon was sold out and Master of Ceremonies Manuel Gouevia did a masterful job of keeping the event moving and on schedule while providing perfectly timed comedic comments and observations. We were entertained by the Los Alamitos High School Choir under the direction of David Moellenkamp and treated to a nice buffet lunch.
The prime spotlight was on honoring our local heroes:
- Officer Matthew Musselmann
- LTC Leroy Cisneros
- Sergeant First Class Peter Nouffer
- Facilities Director Greg Watt
- Nursing Director Jon Blomberg
- Chief Eric Nuñez
- Firefighter Justin Myers
- Deputy Gabriel Barreras
We owe them all a huge debt of gratitude. Please thank our local heroes the next time you see one. They are the very best.
