Got fruit?
Happy Harvesters is a local community service group who will harvest your fruit trees and distribute to local food banks to help individuals experiencing food insecurity in our community. Contact Coco Miller at 714.595.9814 or cocoflowers@yahoo.com to schedule a fruit pick. If you are interested in volunteering for fruit picks, join the “Happy Harvesters Helpers” Facebook group for upcoming events.
Happy Harvesters partners with Food Finders, a local food rescue nonprofit organization with a primary focus of reducing hunger while also reducing food waste.
If you harvest your own trees and have extra ripe/undamaged fruit to donate, you can drop it off at the Food Finders warehouse at 10539 Humbolt St, Los Alamitos, CA 90720. Please call ahead at 562.283.1400 to ensure someone will be there to receive your donation.
To learn more about Food Finders and how you can help those in our community experiencing food insecurity, attend the 2025 Rockin’ Blues BBQ on September 19th featuring live music, BBQ, cocktails and a silent auction. Every ticket purchased and every bid placed directly impacts those who are fighting hunger in our community. For tickets, visit their site.
