Our shredding event on Saturday (4/25/2026) was amazing.
For only the 2nd time in the 7 years that we have been hosting them for the neighborhood, we filled the truck and had to close down a bit early. We had more than 200 vehicles come through to drop off papers to be shredded and recycled more than 7,500 pounds of shredded paper in the process. Well done Rossmoor.
More impressive (and important) was the over 150 pounds of nonperishable food that was generously provided by the folks that drove through. These food donations go a long way to help We Care keep local families in their homes. A huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed food items.
We will be back on Saturday, July 25th at Lee from 8:00 to Noon (or until the truck gets full) to collect your items that need to be shredded and more nonperishable food items for We Care.
