Our Rossmoor - A Great Place To Live Since 1957

2nd District Celebrates Our Olympians

The sunshine was brilliant and the Balboa Peninsula was beautiful on Sunday, September 12 when Supervisor Foley and her team organized a parade to honor our local Olympic athletes.

The parade kicked off from the Newport Pier and worked its way up Balboa past the well-wishers waving American Flags and cheering. The route ended at the American Legion Hall Harbor Post 291 where the Olympians were honored with awards and more applause.  Tokyo Olympics star and gold medalist with the U.S. Women’s Waterpolo Team, April Ross was awarded a Key to the City of Newport Beach and a custom street sign.

RHA was invited to assist with a Parade by Supervisor Foley because of our experience with the Rossmoor Graduation Celebration Parade.

It was a terrific tribute to our local hometown Olympic heroes.
