19th Year and Almost Ready for Adulthood
There are a couple of fun cliches out there that align well with our RHA Christmas Lights Celebration. Those include: If you’re going to do it, do it right, and: If some is good, more is better! We are 19 years into this event, the last of our teen years before we head into adulthood. Let’s complete this decade with a bang or a blown fuse or two and put on a good show for the neighborhood! Think of it as preparation for next year’s 20th anniversary.
However, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Here are the details to enter your home (or neighbor’s home) for the 19th Annual Christmas Lights Celebration.
The Rossmoor Homeowners Association continues the “Lights Nomination Contest” where $50 gift cards to local restaurants are given away. Details on the Nomination Contest are here.
And of course, BikeRossmoor.org will host the 9th annual Christmas Lights Bike Tour. Learn more details about that super family-fun, colorful bike ride at the BikeRossmoor.org website.
This year’s judging will take place, starting Saturday, December 13 (Key Date) to determine the homes that make the Rossmoor Christmas Lights Hots Spots Map, and to designate the homes to receive the highly coveted Recognition Awards. December is already here, and there’s plenty of time to decorate your home and enter the Celebration.
Chris Marshall and Kieran Nolan co-chair the event, and more details and access to the preliminary Christmas Lights map will follow in the RHA website closer to December 13.
To enter: Register your home (or neighbor’s home) by visiting the RHA website here. We’ll need your name, address, and phone number. Please make sure to submit a picture of the home (at nighttime – of course). And it needs to be submitted before December 13, so it can be included on the judging map. Any questions – just send them to RossmoorLights@gmail.com.
Let’s Celebrate the final year of our Teens!
