The Rossmoor Homeowners Association has decided to cancel this year’s Rossmoor Festival, based on guidance from local, state and national health authorities and the strong probability that the current COVID-19 pandemic will not be resolved before the May 3 festival date. It was a difficult decision taken on March 17 by the RHA board, since the festival has been a staple of our community for as long as anybody can remember. The festival, which is put on with support by the Rossmoor Community Services District, attracts hundreds of people every year. But the RHA could not delay making the decision without facing serious financial risks if it had to cancel the event at the last minute. We will continue to monitor the situation and consider some other type of community even later this year, if it is appropriate. We hope everybody in our community remains safe and healthy.
